A Bit About Me

Kristina became interested in the mental health field after she was attending college to become a police officer. During this period, she felt helping individuals on a micro level was the path she wanted to take. She then attended college at Aurora University for Social Work concentrating on Substance Abuse. She has experience working with acute clients from the psych hospital setting to the outpatient setting suffering from psychosis, suicidal, and/or homicidal ideation, and many more.

Kristina works with clients 8 and older who have experienced a variety of mental health issues including trauma, attachment disruptions, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety. She has specialized training in substance abuse across the lifespan. She also works with athletes on improving sports performance. Kristina also works with clients struggling with severe mental health issues, psychosis (hallucinations and delusional thinking), and personality disorders.

When she is not in the office, she spends a lot of my time competing in dog sport events (IGP, obedience, scent work, agility, and more) with her 3 German shepherds Bane, Kimber and Reggie, and her boxer Tessa.

She is currently accepting new clients!
