Kristina Pomagier, LCPC, CADC

Kristina has always been passionate about helping people live their best lives. She believes in empowering individuals to advocate for themselves, develop effective communication skills, and confidently pursue their goals and dreams.

She earned her degree in Social Work from Aurora University with a concentration in Substance Abuse. Kristina has experience working with clients across levels of care, from psychiatric hospital settings to outpatient therapy. She has supported individuals experiencing psychosis, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and other complex mental health challenges.

​

Kristina strives to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and never judged. She understands that it can be difficult to open up about uncomfortable or deeply personal topics, and she works to ensure clients feel safe and comfortable doing so. At times, we may feel lost within ourselves or overwhelmed by a situation — Kristina is here to help guide you through those moments with clarity, compassion, and practical tools.

She works with clients ages 8 and older who are navigating trauma, attachment disruptions, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. She has specialized training in substance use treatment across the lifespan and works with athletes to strengthen mental resilience and performance.

She provides affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and offers couples counseling to help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen connection.

​

When she is not in the office, she spends much of her time competing in dog sport events (IGP, obedience, scent work, agility, and more) with her three German Shepherds — Bane, Kimber, and Reggie — and her Boxer, Tessa.
